DR. YSAYE M. BARNWELL is best known as a member of Sweet Honey In The Rock, the acclaimed a cappella group that performs throughout the world. She lives in Washington, D.C.
BRIAN PINKNEY is a celebrated picture-book illustrator whose many awards include two Caldecott Honors, the Coretta Scott King Illustrator Award, and three Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honors. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
