| All Harcourt Trade Publishers Wholesale and Returnable
Resale accounts in good standing are eligible to apply for cooperative
advertising funds. Returnable Retailers who purchase Harcourt
Trade Publishers titles from Wholesalers are also eligible for
co-op allowances with satisfactory proof of purchase. |

1. The cost of local line rate advertising in
newspapers—national rates are not supported.
2. The cost of advertising time on radio or television.
3. Other reasonable methods of advertising and promotion with
advance approval from Harcourt Trade Publishers. |

Advertising and Promotion Guidelines |
 |
|
|
Cooperative Allowance recipients must have adequate
stock of the promoted title(s) at the time of broadcast or release
of cooperative ads and promotions.
Print
Books must be illustrated or adequately described with book
title, author, and a brief text description of the book (minimum
50 words).
Non-Print
Audio: Books must be verbally described with title, author,
and brief description.
Video/Television: Books must be visibly represented and adequately
described with title, author, and brief description.
Harcourt Trade Publishers will approve other advertising
and promotion methods that it considers to be effective and
administratively feasible.
Harcourt Trade Publishers also offers several incremental co-op
